The Way out of Corona: Why Testing matters. Talk between Dan Ariely and Ernst Fehr

27. Mai 2020 | 16:30 – 18:00

Event Navigation

The principal indicator that policy makers use when defining and implementing measures to

deal with the COVID-19 pandemic is the number of new cases per day. However, this number is inaccurate, because it is based on highly selective testing, and therefore a poor guide for decision-making.

In this digital, online joint meet-up of the Vienna and the Zurich Behavioural Economics Networks (VBEN and ZBEN), two top behavioural economists, Dan Ariely and Ernst Fehr, will discuss why systematic and randomised testing is key for effectively fighting COVID-19.
